In addition to policies, RSPCA Australia also issues position papers on particular issues of interest. A position paper is an explanatory document and is intended to be more comprehensive than an RSPCA policy on a particular topic or subject. The aim is to provide a more in-depth understanding of the subject involved and the rationale behind the position taken.

Position papers are published in PDF format and are available through the knowledgebase in two ways:

  • Attached to the relevant policy statement
  • From the Downloads button below the RSPCA logo on this screen.

RSPCA Australia regularly reviews its position papers: those currently under review are made available once they have been formally adopted. Consideration should be given to the date of adoption or review when determining the relevance of a position paper.
